Trader Joe’s Platinum Reserve Pinot Noir Carneros is made especially for us by expert winemakers in the Carneros AVA, which is tucked neatly in between Napa and Sonoma. This wine exhibits everything one could ask for from such a classic, cool-climate terroir. It’s light and delicate to start, but quickly develops sophisticated notes of red berry, baking spice, and black tea, until it lands into a soft, yet lively finish. It’s complex enough to inspire the palate, and balanced enough that it can pair with a wide variety of dishes, like grilled salmon, marinated flank steak, and, of course, roast turkey.
